Get well soon! And get the bone density test. It doesn't sound healthy to be breaking a ridiculous amount of stuff.

ugh. Sorry to hear about your injuries. And +1 on not skipping the bone density test.

    Get better quickly.

Nah, I learned about 10 years ago. Conditions were pretty crappy though - I remember looking down and thinking that the snow was blowing up the mountain so fast that I couldn't tell whether I was moving! White sky, blizzard winds, white snow, white ground...boom. I'm pretty proud that I bounced back up and rode down even with my arm in so much pain! Two miles from top to base...and no beer at the bottom, since I had to drive home.

Anyway, the update is that both bones really are broken, though neither is a really big deal. Add those to the list of bones you can do nothing for but watch and wait. My back is spasming a little but the pain has mostly subsided unless I do something stupid. I'm just not allowed to do anything fun for about 3 more weeks. Combination of one low fracture on the left and one upper on the right pretty much rules out any and all sports! Though the arm guy says I can ride a stationary bike once the back spasms stop. Mud season here anyway so that's fine, I guess.

I'm digging up a pile of books I've bought and forgotten about and that ought to keep me busy, as long as I can tear myself away long enough to concentrate on work
