(But I'm still not putting clamps on my carbon frame. Uh-uh. Not when they specifically tell you not to even clamp the bike's own perfectly balanced weight in the great big load-distributing clamp of a workstand. Not when among all the other things that "they" tell you never to do, that's the one that shops and experienced mechanics actually observe.
