    Metric Century - Celebration!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Hello all!

I just wanted to post about my new achievement, a metric century -- and I did ride all 62.14 miles to get the exact 100 km -- this morning!

We had some difficulties from the start, my group of friends and I started off in the freezing cold weather, which could have made for a miserable ride. But we rallied and we pushed through. Yay us! But I knew that we had taken some short cuts, so we weren't going to make the 62/100 exactly, so I told them I wanted to do the extra miles. I took off, somehow managed to plan the exact distance (actually, I thought it would be more, so I barely scraped on that number).

    YAY! I'm so happy!

My friends aren't so goal oriented so they aren't exactly in the same state of amazement that I am. So, I'm sharing here because I think you ladies understand!

Now, to focus on the next century.

    Metric Century - Celebration!!

So happy for you!!!! I have yet to do that - most I have done at one time is 54 miles. That would be a great goal to make for myself. Where do you live? I live in South Georgia and riding today was really cold.

BRAVO!!!! You should be very proud of yourself!!

High five! And in the cold too? I'm in awe. Most I've done in one ride is 46 (though it felt longer...)

yay you! I give my bike a red star decal for each metric century. That way I can brag when people ask about the stars on the frame.
