Wow, lots to work on from yesterday's Chi Running workshop. I honestly think I don't normally overstride as much as I was doing when they videotaped me- but the bending at the waist thing, that's definitely something I need to work on. And I got some guidance on improving my pelvic rotation and better using my core muscles to drive everything, too.
I think they'll email me a copy of my video, but since I don't have an "after" picture to share, I'm going to keep it to myself for now.But 7, yours was really cool - thanks for sharing!
Kat ... brrrrrr. A friend of mine from Ohio did the full and although I'm sure he's better acclimated to the cold, he also didn't pack ANY of his warm clothes since the forecast changed so quickly. He came through it okay, though. And you did terrific!
Susan - glad you're making progress and that you have a coach to keep you honest. Hang in there, it'll heal.
So ... today was a perfect day for running and I was tempted to go long, but I didn't quite feel ready physically, plus I wanted to really focus on what I learned yesterday, more than just grinding out miles. So I did the same 11-mile loop as I did on Thursday, but really trying to focus on those two things. I was feeling it, too. Good run.
