Love it! I'm a fan of most period dramas anyways.

I must confess, I teared up when they thought Matthew and William were missing and then the two of them walked in while Mary was singing at the concert.

Also, I did not think Mr. Pamuk (sp?) was all that good looking.

And why does poor Lavinia always wear such ill-fitting dresses? Can't she afford a seamstress?

It does seem that Lavinia's dresses are all 2 sizes too large.

You are the Dowager Countess of Grantham, Violet Crawley (Maggie Smith). You do not suffer fools gladly. In fact you do not suffer anything at all because you refuse to entertain any form of discomfort in your life whatsoever.

I'm completely in love with this show. I watched the first season on Netflix in December and was excited that I wouldn't have to wait too long for the second season.

Just a heads up, the first couple of seasons are free with Amazon Prime. I've been watching on my Kindle. I love it. I'm finding it hard not to resume watching right now, but I have to get to work.

I'm doomed when the free ones end. There's the catch.

Edit, looks like there's just one free of the second season. I'm really doomed!

There's a bunch of season 2 episodes on PBS' website.

I just started watching season 1 on Netflix a couple weeks ago. Slowly getting pulled into it. I'm mostly enjoying the little moments of comic relief. Watched Ep 4 last night, got a kick out of Maggie Smith's character's first ride in a swivel chair.

Agree, it's a great show. An updated "Upstairs Downstairs," but different enough that it doesn't feel like a remake. For those who watched Upstairs Downstairs, the actress who played Ruby recently passed away.

I've heard that the original BBC version (available on DVD) is better than what is shown on PBS here. I'm not sure this is true, but this friend of mine is addicted to it and swears they are two different versions. I've gone ahead and netflix'ed season two so we can see the British version.

Can't wait for the next season of Mad Men to start!

Actually I think the difference between the UK and US versions is the length of each episode. They're just under an hour in the US but were longer in the UK. Nothing has been cut out, they just end the episodes at different points.

I rented the first two episodes of season 1 from Netflix and there was no difference from what I saw on TV.
