Wow. I'm not, but you'd think....
Lecithin?
Anyone allergic to corn should know that IV glucose is corn-derived, also. WTF?

Only because my dear partner is a pharmacist, did I find out that I was getting worse from the use of inhalers because they have soy in them. And I am allergic to soy!!
A good to know!

Some have oleic acid in them, which may be the soy-derived ingredient.
As for glucose: If you're trying to exclude allergens, you're going to have a hard time doing it. Theoretically, someone can be allergic to anything, and while extraction processes should get rid of the proteins that generally elicit an allergic response, 100% is hard to do. So that pretty much rules out any natural source. That leaves you with trying to make it yourself. Which is stupid. It's doable, but a PITA. Why bother when plants are so much better at it? And corn is cheap.
ETA: The one I looked at was an albuterol formulation

That's really interesting...given that so many people have allergies to soy and inhalers are often used by people who have allergies, since allergies and asthma go hand-in-hand. I don't have soy allergies, but I have to wonder how many people have had problems from their inhaler and thought the actual drug didn't help them.
