    Yesterday:
Coffee and a doughnut. I need to actually eat breakfast at home.
    Cheese ravioli with meat sauce
    Most of a beer
    Two plain wg waffles
French onion soup out of a box, with barley thrown in
At least I don't leave slime trails.

    Yesterday:

B: steel-cut oats with blueberries, PB, skim milk, coffee
S: 1 slice sprouted bread toast with PB
L: Luna bar with 1 cup skim milk
D: Small serving of home-made bean soup, hot turkey wrap on Trader Joe's whole wheat tortilla, 1 beer

    Today

1 hour on trainer before breakfast
B: 3 egg-white omelet with a bit of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, two slices of turkey bacon, small amount of steel-cut oats, skim milk, coffee
L: Luna bar (no time for anything else)
30 minute moderate weights workout (called short due to complaints from the neck department)
S: fresh blackberries with a bit of fat free Greek yogurt

Haven't decided what dinner will be, but leaning to making some fresh chicken salad (with almonds, cranberries, and apple) and salad greens. Perhaps some roasted pepper/tomato soup. We will see...

I prefer Cliff bars to Luna - but since my activity level is a bit lower in the winter, it makes sense to move to a less robust bar...No long hours on the road or trail right now

B: Irish oatmeal with some soy nut butter, blueberries, cranberries, and 1% milk mixed in, 2 slices turkey bacon, coffee
L: salad with black beans mixed with green chili salsa, tomato, avocado, low fat cheddar. An orange, which was horrible, so I ate about half of it.
Snow shoeing for about 50 minutes
    S: Greek yogurt, almonds, blueberries
2 pieces of Iberico cheese and 3 whole wheat pita rounds a little later
D: 2 very small/thin pork chops, coated with a rub of chopped cashews (peanut sub), cumin, pepper, and a bit of sugar. Stir fried bok choy and whole wheat soba (about an ounce), with a sauce of rice wine and oyster sauce.
    one piece of dark chocolate

    one dried apricot before bed.

Crankin - congratulations on being able to snow shoe! My body is asking for something different to do...but with the weather we've been having all I can do is to ride outside/inside, or go hiking...I can't run and I won't learn how to swim (and my new gym doesn't have a pool anyway, but that isn't a problem).

It was nice to do something different, albeit, right in my own neighborhood!
We are going cross country skiing today (about an hour away in southern NH), and who knows when we'll be doing that again, as tomorrow and the next few days will be almost 50 degrees and rainy. Hoping the rain will not reach north of here, so we will still have the possibility of going further north or west next Saturday and ski.
I know this is the food thread, but I can't seem to separate my exercise from eating. I had my first piece of bread this morning, in 2 weeks, in preparation for some good climbing today.

I can't separate the two either, one informs the other...

I did make chicken salad for dinner last night as I speculated and put the chicken salad over salad greens (no other dressing required), finished off the half of the apple that didn't get chopped into the chicken salad, and two small glasses of beer.

The Machengo cheese is fine, but a bit mild for my taste. Currently trying a Wisconsin sharp white cheddar from Trader Joe's, and also picked up some good smoked Gouda (which I love). I will try another imported cheese once I've gone through these.
