Back on your task - is there a link to information about the trip (goals) that could give us a hint on how to help you? Is this some grand social experiment? What makes delving into this area different that say, visiting villagers in Africa, Central or South America, or First Nations people in northern Canada/Alaska? Other than to us, Mongolia is about as far removed from anything.

Ecology and Civic media are two completely different subjects IMHO. I can grasp Ecology of the area and livestock management, as well as throwing in a predator. But Civic media???

Civic media as in we have to communicate with people to effect change.
It's in June. It's not a vacation, it's an adventure. Next week we are going to hawaii. THAT is a vacation.

It's got about a 97% chance of blindness with surgery, and with the size of his tumor it will be 100% without the surgery. I so desperately hope that can save the sight in his other eye.
