If I told you I was considering joining an expedition that would take me to Mongolia, what would you say? Well, I'll tell you what my husband said: GO FOR IT.
I need help writing a couple essays; is there someone here that is good at that and would like to help me?
It's Steppe Ecology & Civic Media, with a focus on the Przewalski 's horse and the Pallas's cat. And i get to sleep in a yurt!

Not that it'll help - but the fact that you need a vacation, and have your mind ponder other things other than balancing a ill hubby, hospitals, doctors, and keep your own home in some semblance of order?

Back on your task - is there a link to information about the trip (goals) that could give us a hint on how to help you? Is this some grand social experiment? What makes delving into this area different that say, visiting villagers in Africa, Central or South America, or First Nations people in northern Canada/Alaska? Other than to us, Mongolia is about as far removed from anything.

Ecology and Civic media are two completely different subjects IMHO. I can grasp Ecology of the area and livestock management, as well as throwing in a predator. But Civic media???

Civic media as in we have to communicate with people to effect change.
It's in June. It's not a vacation, it's an adventure. Next week we are going to hawaii. THAT is a vacation.

Next time, ask the dentist for a sedative. My wonderful dentist gives me something that lists retrograde amnesia as a side effect. Maybe not very healthy, but provides really good (a.k.a completely forgotten) dental experiences.
