    B: steel cut oats with blueberries and 5 almonds, egg whites, skim milk, coffee

    60 minute hard spinning class, followed by 40 minute light weights workout

    L: Leftover skinless chicken breast stew with carrots, onions and celery, and a bit of brown rice, skim milk

    S: apple with a bit of PB

    D: Leftover skinless chicken breast stew with carrots, onions and celery, sprouted bread, skim milk. 1 pint of beer later

    L: apple, cottage cheese

    S: coffee, 1/2 green tea/white chocolate cookie

    D: last of the skinless chicken breast stew with carrots, onions and celery, steamed broccoli, skim milk

    Currently stewing some overly-ripe Gala apples in the crock-pot with cinnamon and nutmeg. Planning on having some later with no-fat Half and Half (which really seems a contradiction in terms, but there you go)

    33.5 mile outdoor ride, moderate pace, with a stiff headwind
    L: cycling club's Chanukah party lunch... 2 latkes with applesauce, a few pieces of cheese and walnuts, salad, and 3 small slices of turkey, cabbage, a beer, one blueberry scone type cookie and a taste of a chocolate black bean/chili/cranberry cookie that was supposed to be for the gluten free crowd. It was awful .

    D: I was hungry again by 7 PM, so I had half a ww bagel with melted cheddar and blueberries

    Sigh, one more holiday related dinner on New Years Eve

    D: 1 flour tortilla, few slices of grilled chicken breast, sauteed onions and peppers, sprinkle of cheese, little sour cream with spanish rice and beans, 1 beer

    B: piece of ww bread with soy nut butter before early AM gym.. 20 minute run/walk and weights (the instructor for the class didn't show )
    sliced chicken over a tomato with melted cheese, coffee, an orange after the gym

    S: half a Luna Bar

    Oh mannnn I am so excited that I scored a Breville Die Cast hemisphere blender off craigslist for $175 bucks (they retail between $300 and $400). It was quite obviously barely used (with some dust on it). Took it home and made a banana, blueberry, raspberry, spinach, whey protein smoothie. Heavenly! So glad I have a working blender again, I can do one liquid meal per day now.

    Breakfast 1 this morning: cottage cheese, slice of whole grain toast with jam.
    1 hour weight training
    Breakfast 2 this morning: 300-400 calorie smoothie

    handful of nuts before spin class at oh dark thirty
    B: egg whites and green chili salsa, an orange, coffee
    L: cup of sweet potato and carrot soup with half a grilled cheese sandwich, after a 3.6 mile ride to the closest destination I could think of, to make my mileage goal for the year, then rode back home for a 7.2 mile ride.
    D: went to the bar at the Colonial Inn for dinner and ended up staying for like 3.5 hours. The band playing was great. Shared a pear salad with DH, then ate half of an apple brined chicken dinner (which was one breast), a couple of sweet potato wedges, and broccoli, half a piece of cornbread, 2 glasses of red wine.

    slept until 9:00 this morning I NEVER sleep that late, must have seriously needed it.

    B: steel cut oats, egg whites, skim milk, coffee
    L: roasted skinless chicken breast sandwich with sprouted bread, small slice of light Irish cheddar, black bean soup, skim milk, coffee

    15 minutes warmup on trainer, 60 minute bike ride

    S: heated baked apple with no-fat half and half, handful of almonds, small slice of light Irish cheddar

    Haven't yet decided what to do for dinner as I am headed for a friends house at 8 to bring in the new year. Made a fruit salad to take but I had better eat something to keep me from eating too much stuff...something light like perhaps some more black bean soup and 1/2 PB sandwich.

    More coffee...I NEVER stay up even close to midnight...

    baby tomatoes marinated in balsamic vinegar and oil with herbs
    Cheese fondue (with french baguette bread). Cheese was actually pre-pkg. by a Swiss firm. And laced with wine!
    Linzertorte (hazelnut tart with raspberry almond filling), a few fresh blueberries on the side
    2 cups of tea with milk
    glass of red shiraz wine (Aussie label: Hanging Snakes. A gift to dearie when he visited Melbourne.)

    B: Met a friend for coffee; had an everything bagel with cream cheese and a latte.
    18-mile bike ride-1/2 a Clif bar
    late lunch: bowl of turkey and vegetable soup
    Dinner: I was exhausted and only ate part of it: fish curry, rice, broccoli and Brussels sprouts
    2 pieces baklava and a thin slice of cake (of which I only ate half)
    Sip of wine
    At least I don't leave slime trails.
