    White Christmas, anyone?

Anyone else having a white Christmas? I don't know if the snow that is coming down like crazy right now outside is going to be around tomorrow (probably - it'll be brown and gross though) but we're definitely having a white Christmas Eve. According to the NOAA west Texas has a <5% chance of a white Christmas based on probability. Well there you go, we've beat the odds. Luckily, I don't have to go out but once a day in the morning to check on my in hospital patients. Other than that, it's all sweatpants, warm fires, cuddling with the cats and puppy and cooking in the kitchen.

The forecast expects flurries in the Texas Hill Country, I am right on the edge of that. We'll see. Right now I am in sweats with two lazy Schnauzers and one manx who seems to think she is starving. Perfect day for me too!

At this time, the streets are dry with some icy patches left from previous snowfalls for last 2 months.

That's ok...we can bike around to get our last minute groceries for meals. Today will be a couple of degrees above freezing.

I'm sure it will snow in our area in a week or so. Then the warm chinook winds melt off and dry air sucks it up dry. Very different from northeastern North America, where the snow slush/ice would stick around for ages.

Only if by white you mean blinding sunshine. Christmas just isn't the same in the summer... On the bright side (pun intended), I had a lovely two-hour ride this morning, before the day heated up.

    Merry Christmas, every one!

We had snow this morning, but it has mostly melted away with a high of 38 today. Tomorrow there's a 30% chance of snow showers. I'm quite fine without snow. I'm not a fan of it, but I know it's good for the Great Lakes and keeping them a good level.

Woke up to a light dusting and the rising sun melted it away. We have flurries in the forecast today and tomorrow so maybe we'll see another light dusting for a sorta white Christmas. I'm not traveling too far so the weather won't be a problem today or tomorrow.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! Happy holiday to those who don't.

It's supposed to be close to 50 degrees tomorrow, so no snow for us. It's pretty rare for us to get snow (that sticks) in December anyway. Too far south.

By this time last winter we had already received around 10 inches of snow. This year, we've had less than an inch...I will take it. My evil plan of skipping real winter appears to be working...which means it will likely hit Superbowl week since that is here...

How the streets are, at least in the downtown core. At our favourite bakery to pick up our Christmas Eve cake. (I have no idea what it is. He pre-ordered this) It's sitting on top of his bike rack. Notice the shovel inside the bakery. We hope there will be snow in the Rocky Mountains, 120 km. north of us in 2 wks. now. I think there is snow now. We did have a choice to go there but it's much more expensive there during Christmas.

We got 12+ inches on Thursday in CO that is still hanging around but quickly melting in the sunny, 40 degree weather we're currently having. I was hoping to get a ride in on Monday but we'll see if it's melted enough to get out. The next three days are to be mid-40's so if not Monday, maybe Tuesday since I have the day off.

Happy Holidays to all on TE! And, happy riding if you are lucky enough to get out.

There was a bit of snow yesterday morning, but it is all melted away. It is nice and cold tho, so that makes it a bit more Christmasie.

We're having an abnormally warm winter. No snow (and no freezing temperatures) in our immediate forecast. It's odd.
