WOW! Way to go! You went so far!
I tried to do the MS150 last year... and it was the MS65... because of KNEE PAIN! Because of the knee pain, I was only able to manage a 11 MPH average.
My knee pain had started a few months back, because I was muscling (mashing) through the pedal stroke... trying to get faster. I also went to spin classes and mashed through (as instructed).... AND my cleats were not positioned on my pedals correctly.
I remember the pain... it was so bad, I would have to take my left foot off the pedal and just pedal with the right leg.
It sounds like you were pushing yourself too hard... and maybe not using your gears like you needed to.
For me, my knee pain was eventually cured by me spinning my pedals, high candence, and changing my pedals to SpeedPlays.
Anyways... you did a GREAT JOB! I had knee pain that wasn't as bad as yours (by the MS150 it was somewhat better)... and I only made it 65 miles.
But you... YOU ROCKED IT LADY! Yep, you are HARDCORE!
