U backed bras may or may not help as they often have wide set straps. Wideset bra straps are designed to give more cleaveage. Plunge and balconette bras come to mind.

If you're wearing the correct size you can look for bras that have the straps in the center of the cup. If that doesn't help maybe you need a smaller band size, you will also change cup sizes.

Take a look at HerRoom.com or Bare Necessities.com. HerRoom has the best description of how bras fit and there is almost always reviews on both sites from those who have bought the bras. Read the reviews with a grain of salt as the bra may not be the correct fit for the reviewer.

Try on several sizes of bras, for example, I just ordered 2 different styles of bras from Bare Necessities. In both styles I ordered a 28G and a 28GG. In one style the 28GG fit perfectly, in the other style the 28GG was huge but the 28G fit. Both bras were from the same company.

Also, be sure you're putting the bra on correctly since just "throwing on the bra" will affect the fit. http://www.investinyourchest.co.uk/h...oop-and-jiggle

Now that I'm wearing the correct band size I've had no issues with my straps even though I wear the U back with wideset strap, balconnette and plunge style bras.
