I'm confused. Why would you want an aluminum frame on an MTB? Once aluminum cracks, it's all over. Steel can be repaired. I had an aluminum road bike crack in a crash & it was, for the most part, garbage. Maybe aluminum is stronger than it was 12 years ago (ya think? Duh...)
