Not having a baby, but shopping for a bathtub!
I guess we all name everything now. The tubs seem to be mostly girl names, with a few boys (Marlon, Liam, Alistair) and a few that don't send a clear gender message ( Treece, Serafini, Coley).
Have you named your bathtub?!

Really.
The sky is the limit too. Kinda like buying a bike.
Except that I haven't seen any carbon fiber tubs. Or cast iron bikes, for that matter.

You just haven't googled hard enough."Pure design. No superfluous functions." OMG LMFAO and wondering whether anyone is actually buying one of those...

I call mine Heaven. Really, the worst thing about my recent surgery was not being able to soak. I'm seriously addicted.

We're going to be redoing one bathroom over the winter. I draw the line at naming the commode.
... but I am the one who years ago had a seam-ripper named Jack and a kitchen grater named Alexander.![]()

That's pretty, but I'm skeptical it's comfortable, and how would one keep it clean? That's a lot of copper!

Our new/old house has a huge bathroom upstairs with an uneven ceiling--short on the sides. Right now it has a corner whirlpool which is huge and uncomfy, with straight sides.
We're planning the remodel, which we hope will include a deck.
The page says they are easy to care for and you can let it develop a "desirable patina". Pretty much everything I own could be described as having a patina, but usually it wouldn't generally be considered desirable.

I have the narrowest cast-iron clawfoot tub I've ever seen. Seriously. The short side of it is next to the toilet on the wall of my bathroom that's only 4 feet wide. If I can ever get help moving it to re-do the bathroom floor and walls, I'd like to paint the outside of the tub. The bathroom is only 4x7 feet and a tub is such an impractical use of space but I refuse to get rid of it!
But no, it doesn't have a name![]()

This thread is reminding me of the worst torture ever...
My last dwelling was a loft and the bathtub was about twice the size of the hot water heater: a perfect soaking tub for one, but could only get it about half full of hot water before the hot water ran out. TORTURE.

I think that was a problem for the previous owners here too. We have two big old water heaters which we are going to replace with an on demand one.
We didn't set out to buy a fixer-upper, but it really is pretty fun to get set up with stuff we like.
