Yes, it did. All of my recipes come out of the magazine or their cookbooks. I hardly use any other recipes anymore.

Cooking Light? I don't typically use recipes, I just put together what seems good to me. That generally works pretty well, but with my somewhat restricted diet I've been running out of ideas. I've not heard of this cookbook or magazine, but from reading your posts it makes me curious

    Yesterday:

B: steel cut oats with a few almonds, blueberries. Skim milk, coffee
L: small amount of turkey white bean chili, rice, apple
    S: banana

30 minute lower body workout (outside of a couple of safe upper body exercises), and 30 minutes on the arc trainer.

D: remainder of the left-over turkey/white bean/tomato chili, brown rice. A small salad with no-fat cottage cheese, baby spinach and frozen blueberries. I was starving!

I especially like the fast recipes. And I adapt a lot of them to my needs.

Half my recipes are "what I find in the fridge, thrown together with what I find in the pantry", and the other half are tweaked Cooking Light recipes (my favorite soup in the world comes from them!). (Usually I add a little extra fat, and extra seasoning is almost always a must with them.)

What soup is it? I am always on the lookout for new soup recipes.

Soup? Soup/stews/chili are all good this time of the year

    Today:

B: bran cereal, 2 scrambled egg whites, skim milk, coffee
    S: small apple
L: 1/2 roast chicken Po'boy from Papa Roux Simple and quite yummy, small amount of mushroom etoufee
    S: banana

    1 hour spinning class

D: 1 small roasted skinless chicken breast, small tortilla

I keep meaning to pick up a small inexpensive kitchen scale. I eat a LOT of chicken, and the size of chicken breasts vary so much in size that I really would like to know what 4 ounces actually looks like.

L: left over piece of sole with panko/parmesan topping and some of the left over sauce from last night's dinner, strawberries
S: nuts and cranberries, Luna Bar
D: whole wheat naan "pizza," which DH made with chicken sausage, caramelized onions, goat cheese and a salad with arugula and grape tomatoes
    2 pieces of dark chocolate

    Here you go:
    http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/turk...0000000397301/

Beer, turkey, jalapenos...what's not to love? I don't bother with the peanuts because I'm lazy.

This is also pretty good: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/cann...0000000701114/. I usually end up preparing it as a soup (same amount of liquid, less meat and beans, because I never have that much of anything on hand.)

    Today was weird:
B: 3 pancakes with butter and maple syrup, chai
    S: Latte
L (after a long wait for my lab key and finding out that the student union cafeteria was closed): canned ravioli. Seriously. Not filling at all.
L II, after I got home: Almonds, tuna with onions (had to get it out of the fridge), an apple.
30 min on the trainer. Water and a couple of mini Reese's cups
D: Bowl of sausage, kale and white bean soup.

Thanks! Do you think chicken will work instead of turkey?

I made it with chicken breast before and it turned out fine.

B-cornflakes with skim milk, tea with skim milk, a banana
    later- coffee with milk, biscotti

    Another coffee with milk

Dinner-3 mini sandwich sliders (different fillings each), 2 flat pizzabread thin slices, some cheese slices, 1 small roll of dried beef, veggie crudites, thin yam chips

    1 large pineapple juice drink

Snack at home: cup of tea with skim milk, a tangerine

Dinner was post-work pre-Christmas get together. No wonder why I feel I'm about to crash. That dinner sucked the energy out of me.
