Great point, Oak. My helmet is 6 years old, has been dropped several times and stays in the back seat of the hot truck when it's not being used. I've had my eye on a new Giro Atmos that matches my bike that DH wanted to get me for my birthday but I felt frivilous getting it when I already had one. Your argument justified the purchase.
