OK, the TE entrance exam question 2. Remember it's multiple choice, there are no wrong answers although some will make you a little bit suspect:
    Next question:

You have a date who just might get to see your house tonight (if married/partnered the Queen of England is expected for dinner). Your house is a pigstye, but weather is grand and TE gals have invited you to ride.

    Do you:
    a) skip the ride and clean, it's cross training, right? we want to show the housecleaning potential.
    b) tell the date (or Her Majesty) "this is what it looks like, get used to it. what are you? The Queen of England? Oh, yeah right"
    c) Me clean? My ibot does that, let's ride
    d) ride, and toss everything into the closet "let me put away your coat, nooooo not in there"

new tampons? pedals off doing the "don't have periods anymore" happy dance.

    Trek,

What's this "clean" thing of which you speak? I have no knowledge.

And I can attest for Sydney_b. She is indeed female, and a fun one to have at your table on a lady's night out.

Oh God. I'm falling over laughing. What I love is my husband's facial reaction when he reads some of the stuff that gets said or some of the subjects on here. I keep on reminding him that if he _really_ doesn't want to know he should read over my shoulder.

    aliens

About TE question number one-i'd take out ma alien & give his bike a makeover...I'm a woman in black...*now i can't get the Men in black song out of me head...**

Question number two-just stuff everything into the closet..as i used to do as a kid..Oh yes, the room's clean...umm just don't look over there...

If you talk about childbirth you might send me running as well...However i do like to hear the horror stories...

While on the subject & to frighten the men...our friend wanted to bury their child's placenta in thier backyard..but his wife wouldn't let him..I thought it was a cool idea.

I dont know about scaring the men but that scared me. Hope they didnt have any dogs, cant imagine that would be something you would want the dogs digging up.

You have to dig a really deep hole. Not that I've ever done it. But I've had friends....I am a midwife, after all. And most emphatically female! What the heck did this thread start out to be about...>? Oh, yeah, how great the women of the TE board are! I second that emotion!

...and, you'll be glad to hear, after about nine dud-first dates (and one kind of scary guy), I had a wonderful first date tonight! who knows where it will go, but it's so nice to feel good on a date again. L.

    hey

    Hey lise,

Good to hear your date went well. Was it a bike date or a running date? I hope all goes well in that department.

Umm our friends don't have any pets so there was no concern there.. This may sound even funnier but he then thought to keep it in the freezer..hahahahahah...Our friend andrew;s a character indeed...

You know, it was neither. It was an actual dinner date, and on into the evening, but of course I was home, like a good girl, posting about it later. He talked about roller blading...I've have to sound him out on biking.

I have a friend who is a midwife, and did the favor of keeping those in her freezer for friends/clients who didn't yet have a yard in which to bury it. Myself, I thought she took community service a little far! But then again, I am a midwife....the parents often want to plant a tree over where they've buried their baby's first "home". I just say, dig a deeeeep hole.

wow, this has really gone off te beaten path now! I had a friend who buired there's under a rose bush. Thought it was strange at the time. But they put things like urea in shampoo. Now that is strange!
I am glad your first date went so smashingly! I would be scared to date. But then I have been with the same guy for 19 years. I just don't remember how?
Here this is funny, A client of ours was telling us about this date he went on. He took this girl after having dinner to a bar. There was some big game on. They were having a good time and all, but she was getting really drunk. Well she went to take a drink out of her beer bottle when a home run was hit and everyone in the bar cheered. Well by
accident he hit the bottle by her mouth with he's elbow and knocked her two top front teeth out! Well she leaned over picked her teeth up and put them in her pocket and kept on drinking. He was freaking him out! He wanted to take her to the emergency room but she wouldn't have it. So he just let it rest. The only problem was all night every time she would laugh or smile.... well you can imagine. They never went out on another date.

I've woken up the morning after the night before with my fair share of mystery bruises, but imagine waking up without teeth!

Re: question two; I was gonna go with d), but why bother cleaning and tidying? Just go see your date's house or take Lizzie out for tea.

    A great thread - y'all are fab.
