Says they will repair or replace damaged binoculars "even if it's your fault."
So when the dog ate my newish binoculars, I called Nikon and -- sure enough. The Nikon warranty covered it.
I just checked the online repair status report, and they have already shipped a new pair of binoculars.

That's a lot better than my experience with Zeiss. I had just purchased my Zeiss binoculars, and not 2 weeks later, the strap furnished with the binoculars broke, the lens got a huge scratch, but they wouldn't take any responsibility for the problem. The didn't warranty the strap.![]()

Hooray for companies doing the right thing.
Native stands behind their product too - you do have to pay $20, but they will replace glasses where it is clearly owner error.

I think companies replacing an item for self-inflicted damage is a bonus, not the "right thing to do". They are courting your loyalty through this kind of bonus treatment, and it works.
