The band gives the most support. Too large and it rides up your back and doesn't give lift. Bands also stretch over time that's why the recommendation that a new bra should fit in the first hook. The whole fitting process is tricky. If you don't know how to put on a bra and what to look for it's easy to think the bra fits but in reality it doesn't. Sometimes professional fitters don't get it right.
