Pilling doesn't indicate poor quality, according to this vendor of organic USA-made bed linens:
I haven't dealt with Rawganique so take that fwiw, but I do know a LOT of formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals are used in the textile industry. I prefer knowing how a desirable quality is reached, so I can at least make a decision about whether it's worth it or not. (And if anyone does wind up ordering from them, post your experience please!)Note on flannel: we do not use acids to strip off extra lint and so your organic flannel sheets will pill in the first few washings. This pilling stabilizes after a time. It's the nature of untreated flannel fabric (we do not use formaldehyde or other chemicals to "finish" the fabric, preferring instead to let time do it gracefully). If you are particular about pilling, then untreated organic flannel sheets probably aren't right for you.
