No, you did the right thing. Better safe than sorry when it comes to severe storms. You don't want to end up telling your story on "I Survived" (if you're lucky ).

I'm going in an hour early so I can leave work while it's still light. No reason to ride in the dark if I don't have to. I'm lucky to have a flexible job.
