Roxy are you logging EVERYTHING you eat and drink? I use to think I ate pretty well too, until I took a really good honest look at it.

On the other hand you are paying your therapist to give you advice. Maybe you should listen to her/him.

    141.6.

Limited exercise this week due to unexplained foot pain on Monday. It seems I strained a muscle/tendon/whatever in my sleep. Anyway it's almost 100% better now, so I can get back to work.

I'd like in please. I'm at my heaviest weight ever, 207, so I am setting a goal of 200. I guess I need to start counting calories or points or just stop eating pure junk not even masquerading as some healthy.
Thank you Possegal for running this thread and doing all the book keeping.

I tried for the longest time to lose weight and nothing really worked. And like Veronica I thought I ate pretty well until I started to keep a log of every single item I ate. It added up fast..all the little things. Hang in there, you will find what works for you.

Roxy, find a therapist that specializes in eating disorders or lifestyle management. Preferrably, someone with a holistic background.

116.6 this morning- Yes!! The June vacation pounds are almost gone- can't believe that I have not gotten back down to my goal by now!

This whole weight thing is SO hard sometimes. Danielle, I can't even imagine the degree of life changes you made to get where you are!

    Roxy- hang in there!

And I hope everyone else has a successful week. We're entering the cookie season and it's hard to avoid all the temptations out there...

I have to be honest and say, no, I don't record everything. I have in the past, using Lose It and My Fitness Pal. I lost weight using Lose It, but not with My Fitness Pal.

I hatehatehate having to record everything. The one thing I like about South Beach is that there's no measuring or weighing, but I didn't lose any weight on it.

I read a long time ago about a woman who started a physical food diary and as she progressed through day by day recording every meal, her cooking became more elaborate and her decorations of the daily meals turned into photographs and full recipes...she said her diet became better and better because she was devoting so much creative energy to make it beautiful in the journal. Maybe I'll try that.

So I forgot to post on Friday...... we're not travelling for the holidays this year, so that means we have much more control over the amount of crap (ie cookies) around and hopefully I can pull this off...
