AMC does not have a lot of drama. The rides are fun and social. They require a leader and sweep and no one gets left behind. As Biciclista said, sometimes you just have to hold your breath and jump in ... I just don't want to experience another ride like my last. I had the accident, but may have had less of a chance of having an accident had I not been left behind. I don't want to mention the group's name because I'm not here to slander any one particular group, however I am trying to 'feel' my way around to find a group that will 'fit' my interests and share my interests.

Thanks for the info about AMC, I think I'll look them up and try to meet up with them hopefully soon when my hand heals and it is safe to ride again.
