The more I looked the helmet, the more damage I saw. I'm really glad I always wear one. I did wear it yesterday evening when I rode over to the bike shop to get new pedals, handlebar tape, and a new helmet, as even a damaged helmet is better than none at all. But I left the damaged helmet at the shop and rode home wearing the new one.
The bruises are coming up quite nicely! And my neck was incredibly stiff when I woke up this morning, probably from the crash. Just lucky it wasn't worse....
Wear that helmet!

OUCH! Glad you're OK. When commuting in the dark I'm always afraid of something jumping up and biting my bike. Rest up and take care!
