What Do You Wear on your Feet?

I wear "booties" they are some kind of plasticized fabric. they help somewhat. nothing keeps your feet completely dry because of course they sweat.

Sidi Gore-tex cycling boots. Might be overkill for what you're looking for.

I have heard good things about the Sugoi Resistor booties. I don't know how well they fit over mountain shoes though. Also, booties tend to get badly torn up with platforms unless they're designed for them.

What about Gore Tex socks? DH used to use them for mountain biking. Gore Tex hiking shoes might work too.

Or my magenta Doc Martens. Or my Ariat cowboy boots. (My Ariats are surprisingly fabulous for cycling. Although, considering stirrup/pedal physics, I probably shouldn't be surprised at all...)

I wonder if a front full coverage fender with a fender flap will take care of most of the issue. I have to think that MOST of the water is spraying off the front wheel, not falling from the sky.

Yeah, there's that.

I sort of assumed that being from Portland you already had full fenders and flaps. In which case, any shoe you'd wear to walk in the rain would be just fine for riding in the rain.

You do have fenders and flaps, right?

I bought the Beige/Creme ones and they do have 6" long rubber mud flaps at the end. I haven't ridden it in the rain yet. I don't want to get "Leonard" dirty! lol

When the rain starts, I use the Keens Presidio Pedal. My feet stay surprisingly dry without having to deal with extra booties. I wore those all last winter spring during our rain, rain, rain.
