AWESOME rr, S!! I was waiting for this and I wasn't disappointed at the great recap of your day. I loved seeing the pictures of the start. I agree that the sighting was super difficult (especially sighting a white buoy among white caps- but you had to sight with orange caps around the orange buoys). I got a huge chafe spot on my neck from looking forward so many times.
The picture of you getting out of the water is so cute- such relief on your face! The pictures on the bike are superb as well. What a great photographer Mark is.

Sorry to ramble, but I'm just thrilled that your day was wonderful and that you enjoyed your experience. Can't wait for you to compete in one of these again!!

And this is how sweet S is- after competing, she drove all the way back out to Lake Hefner to have some dinner and wait on me to come by to cheer me on during my race.

Thanks, Tri-Girl, I wanted to write it before the feelings and memories started to fade... which doesn't take long these days.

Once again, thanks for all the support you gave me - from encouraging me to sign up for it in the first place - to answering my multitude of questions - to helping me overcome the bad case of nerves after Friday's awful practice swim!

You were great through it all, I really appreciate you!

What a wonderful race report! Congratulations. I would love to do an aquabike!

Thanks very much, salsabike! The aquabike was great, I hope there will be more of them in the future. From what I read, aquabike was created in 2008 and approved by USAT to give those of us that either don't like to run or can't run for IM or HIM kinds of distance a way to still participate. I would have never done Redman if Aquabike wasn't offered.

    It's nice to have options.
