I'm joining the discussion late, but as a Cat 4 who will probably always be a Cat 4, I am happy either way. I think I do better in the shorter races and I think it would be best if we could have a separate Cat 4 race. At Sucker Brook they did have results separated out for Cat 3, Cat 4, 35+. It looks like there are definitely enough Cat 4 women to have separate races (at least in that field). For the stronger Cat 4 women, they would probably be able to place better and move up to Cat 3 faster if we had a separate Cat 4 field. It looks like there will be another huge women's field next weekend in Gloucester this year!
