if I had any money, I would buy it and just put it on my table and fondle and admire it. Gorgeous!!

Don't know how heavy or practical it would be, but it's beautiful!

Hearst said it’s a surprisingly comfortable ride, and, ironically, the faster you go, the smoother it is.

How would it deal with cornering? Seems like it would lose grip on the road and slide out from under you. Hit an edge of a steel loop and splat!

Knot, I have a sneaking suspicion the test ride didn't include any real turns!![]()
I suppose they need to define "faster." Faster as in quicker than a snail's pace, or 15+ mph?
On the other hand, you don't have to worry about flats.![]()

I wonder if the ride is cushier than on the following bike: http://www.fmlftw.com/2011/01/26/a-b...es-for-wheels/

Those are beautiful wheels. The frame they are on needs to be more ethereal, though. They are on a fairly pedestrian frame - but that might be just me and DH.
I wonder about the ride. Would it be like riding on cobbles all the time? (I'd sure like to find out.)
As to the other set of wheels, again the frame needs to better complement the wheels, and the ride would not be smooth as silk.
Both sets of wheels would be grand in parades, but that's about the only use I can see for them.
Give big space to the festive dog that make sport in the roadway. Avoid entanglement with your wheel spoke.

Beautiful wheels, I agree that the bike does not seem to fit them. They are so delicate looking (in looks, I have no clue about functionality) and the bike is so bold looking compared to them. The wheels look feminine and the bike frame does not. I'm not an artist so I could not comment on what to put them on but I'd know it if I saw it. I'd love to take a ride on that bike.

They're pretty and they scare me too. But I guess they must handle well enough that a pricey hotel lets its guests use it ... if they were as dangerous as they look, I don't think they'd take the chance.

I would buy them to just put up on the wall. They are a work of art.
