Yes, absolutely congrats on the 5K! My first one was terrible

I tried to trail run about an hour today. My stomach still feels awful. So not fair.

Went to run 6.5 miles with my running partner last night. Surprisingly my legs felt pretty fresh (after Saturday's 100 miler and Sunday's 30 mile bike rides). However, my running partner did not feel so fresh. We ended up jogging 2 miles and walking 2 home. Which, honestly, was probably a lot better for me. I needed a rest day.

I did a 5K race last Sunday. I've been running about once every 2 weeks for 30 minutes each time, so wasn't expecting a good time. However, I was about 20 seconds faster than when I ran the same race in 2008 and still in the ~9.5 min/mile range. My daughter ran the race also and finished 1st in her category! This is a small race, and I finished 2nd in 2008, so your place really depends on who enters in your category. The fastest women this year were over 40 and under 20.

    Way to go Deb!

I did mile repeats today. I had some errands to run in town, so it's always nice to do my speedwork on a paved trail instead of along the highway, which is where I have to go to find a flat place to run from home. Today I used the downtown MUP instead of the hospital's fitness trail that I usually use, so the variety was nice.

Good morning fall, how nice of you to visit this morning on my run. Good thing my cold gear stuff arrived yesterday.

Did 3.5 miles at 6mph pace.

Congrats on your 5k race Deb! And woohoo for your daughter

Did a little over 4 miles with a coworker this morning on the Virgina Tech campus. I'm here for work and was dreading running in the humidity, but at least it was cool temps. Turned out to be a nice run!
