Have you tried drinking some salty beverages? Seriously, I've learned over the years that for me it's usually mild hyponatremia, and if it goes on for more than a couple of days it's never been anything else.

I'm willing to try anything (that doesn't cost what a doctor's appointment would) at this point. I'd be surprised if that's it, after the soup I've had for dinner the past two days, but it's worth a shot!
It's frustrating because the smell of food, which usually makes queasy worse if I'm actually sick, is still very very enticing. But then when I actually go to eat nothing is appealing but toast or soup. I love food. I miss food.

Hope you get better soon, badger. It might be simply worth not going into work for 1 day and simply rest in bed. Eat nice, healthy foods that feels comfy to you.
A few months ago, I had surprisingly powerful case of ..I don't know what it was..stomache flu. It lasted for about 48 hrs.
After a meeting in an area where the air quality is not the best (light industrial), I cycled 5 kms. back to the office. 2 hrs. later I was achy, dizzy and feverish.
I had to cycle slowly back home, just a few kms. Thank God for bike paths in the middle of the day when there's hardly anyone.
Then slept for 12 hrs. straight and ate nothing for lunch nor supper. I couldn't bear the thought of going to work-related big group free buffet luncheon-meeting. So I stayed at home. Good thing.
First time in life I had such a powerful negative response of fast-track virus or whatever.

hey, it's been a while!? any resolution?
Mine eventually went away, and I attributed it to anxiety because that was around the time (subconsciously) that I was getting ready to break up with my boyfriend. It still lasted a couple of weeks after that but all's well again.
