WW ladies I have a question, how do you count activity or do you? And how do you deal with those points. For example yesterday I did a 51 mile, climbing ride. WW said it was 44 activity points, obviously I am not going to eat all that. But on days I do a shorter ride or spin class, it shouldn't matter if I leave those AP on the table? I swap my AP before my allowance (flex, what do they call it now?). Just wondering how others have had success.

    My rules are

    (1) underestimate intensity. The points for cycling based on MPH don't track with my real world - high intensity is > 12 mph average? Come on. On a road bike? All my rides are "high intensity" then, and while I have periods during the ride where it absolutely is high intensity I am NOT giving myself that for a whole ride because it just isn't that hard. Maybe I will give myself "high intensity" for 1 hour out of 4 or something.

    (2) only use the APs the day they are earned. I don't need the calories the next day, really. Even after a double century - which is tough, but that's my rule.

Great tip on splitting intensity. Yesterday I would consider my ride 1/2 high, 1/2 moderate. Only because it was a hilly ride for my area with a lot of headwind, normally I would think 1/4 but this is one of the harder routes. But there were times it wasn't as hard like you said. That brought it down to 31 points, much more reasonable than 44. And I still didn't eat half those. I have my online set up to swap daily, I can't see using them on another day. Maybe when I am racing I need a little more food the next day but I have the allowance for that, right?

I too find their intensity overstated for cycling. It is closer for mountain biking and spin (in my opinion) but road seems way off especially on the mph calculations!

    Bia

I had my BIA this morning. Made some really good improvements, specifically intra and extra-cellular water. My body fat % was relatively the same as 6 months ago, but cinched down a titch to 22% and muscle mass is up from 34% to 38%. yay!

Bright and early this moring: 116

This is a big drop in a week. I think that I am not dehydrated, beyond what is typical in the morning. But I've been on a plateau for a few weeks so maybe this is a break. Or last week I was over hydrated.

    Calories average 1362 per day.

185.4 today for me. Not what I'd hoped for given how much I've ramped up my workouts. I think I need to completely cut back on carbs again. *sigh*

189 I can't believe I actually lost a pound since I haven't been able to ride and I've been night snacking. This week will be better.
