I suppose anxiety can play on the bug. It's been about a week now, and I think it was kind of weird before, but it started getting bad after a meal I had last Sunday. A couple of hours later I started getting intestinal cramps. I took some activated charcoal so it didn't transpire into diarrhea, but I suppose that may have kept the bugs inside my body a bit instead of diarrhea flushing it out? sorry it's a bit TMI.

I would imagine this will eventually pass, but my boyfriend didn't think this was normal. I haven't thrown up, nausea doesn't get that bad, but it really does impact my eating and apetite. I may just pop into a walk in clinic to rule anything serious out.

Could you be pregnant? I had a similar stomach problem when I was pregnant many, many moons ago. I totally thought I had a bug and didn't figure it out until I saw the doctor for something entirely different.

Do you think its an ulcer/reflux? I have a myriad of stomach issues and what you are describing sounds like what I had - hollow feeling in the same region, nausea which felt better after I ate but then returned shortly thereafter. Turns out that I had h-pylori which is the bacteria that causes ulcers and reflux. I went on antibiotics to get rid of the h pylori and nexium for the reflux and it went away. I would see a GI if the symptoms persist.

I'd second going to a doctor. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Can you eat yogurt, do you eat yogurt? I have irritable bowel syndrome, and find eating yogurt keeps it happier.

Any luck with this badger? I've been feeling sort of the same way for a couple weeks. Only difference in my diet lately has been a little less yogurt (I can't eat that stuff and then run or bike for a few hours, so if I'm doing anything in the morning it's toast for breakfast). Running and biking pretty much make me queasy now, which is no good I was really hoping the whole thing was just anxiety about my race on Saturday but it's over and I'm still yucky.
