    stomach issues

I'm thinking it's a weird bug, but in case some of you may have had similar symptoms I thought I'd throw it out there.

For about a week now I've been having a strange feeling in my stomach. I would feel hungry (my stomach would growl), I would eat, but I would feel sick shortly after starting to eat. Sometimes I feel okay afterwards, but never quite "normal". I won't feel hungry at all for hours afterwards. And it's a bit TMI here - I don't have diarrhea but it's a bit on the softer side.

It almost feel like I'm super anxious, I've felt that way before, but I'm not consciously anxious, so unless I'm subconsciously feeling anxiety, I don't know if that would be it.

I don't have pains, just a strange feeling. Sometimes right where my solar plexus is would feel a bit achey, but I wouldn't consider it pain.

I can't have this continue much because I'm thin to begin with and I've already lost a couple of pounds.

Any ideas? a virus? a parasite?? should I see a doctor?

Well, I'm just now recovering from a 48-hour virus, but 95% of the time, if I have any digestive issues, particularly if it goes on for a few days, it's related to sodium and water intake.

How's your hydration? What happens if you down a liter of gatorade/zenergize/Nuun/whatever?

I had something that sounds like that after having a 24 hour bug a few years ago. I'd get hungry, but it was like I couldn't tolerate eating more than a few bites before I'd start to feel nasty, like I was full and my stomach ached. It lasted for a few weeks I'd say before I was totally back to normal.

Does the weird achy feeling in the solar plexusfeel like your stomach is hollow and empty but you're quite bloated and full? Stomach problems can usually be anxiety or stress even if it is caused by a bug.

Go to a doctor and see what's up with it. And eat easy to digest simple carbs for now. White rice porridge always works for my stomach when it does anything like that...

I suppose anxiety can play on the bug. It's been about a week now, and I think it was kind of weird before, but it started getting bad after a meal I had last Sunday. A couple of hours later I started getting intestinal cramps. I took some activated charcoal so it didn't transpire into diarrhea, but I suppose that may have kept the bugs inside my body a bit instead of diarrhea flushing it out? sorry it's a bit TMI.

I would imagine this will eventually pass, but my boyfriend didn't think this was normal. I haven't thrown up, nausea doesn't get that bad, but it really does impact my eating and apetite. I may just pop into a walk in clinic to rule anything serious out.

Could you be pregnant? I had a similar stomach problem when I was pregnant many, many moons ago. I totally thought I had a bug and didn't figure it out until I saw the doctor for something entirely different.
