Hi everyone. I just found this group today! I've only been biking 2 weeks so I'm really a newbie. Biking mostly for exercise and as a way to cope with losing my son. I really let myself go after he was killed and this year finally decided it's not what he would want. So far Ive lost 40 lbs and hoping biking will help take the rest off. Really enjoying it and so thankful my friend talked me into trying it again!

Real name: Pam

Where do you live? Minnesota

Explanation of your handle: Ryan is my son who was killed when his car was hit by a semi 3 years ago. He was an amazing young man.

Explanation of your avatar: I don't have one

Age (general or specific) 48

Occupation: Non practicing artist, full-time mom

Favorite bike: I'm just getting into riding so it would have to be my Trek

What's in your stable? Trek Neko S 2012

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? No clue, just got my bike computer but I'm sure it isn't fast.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I prefer to be behind the camera! No pics of my bike.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: "I'm ok" Standard response when someone asks me how I'm doing in regards to my son.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I've only been riding a couple of weeks but would have to say it was when I crashed into a sign first time out while turning. I swear it reached out and grabbed me. Thankfully only my son witnessed that ever so embarrassing moment, but refuses to let me forget it.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Honestly I have to say is was back in the days I had one of my kids on the back.
