I haven't been so good about running lately...hot weather is the pits! So glad fall is coming...looking forward to being able to actually run without getting wiped out just from the heat. I would have run today but it was just too sticky so I walked instead, on some new trails (on the property of a local farm/apple orchard) that are really nice. Next time I might even try running barefoot there...the trails aren't as rocky as most of the ones around here and I didn't see any broken glass (or even any other trash) the entire time. Those trails will be perfect for winter snowshoeing too.

It's time for a very easy week, so I didn't run Sunday or Monday, and today went just 2 miles on the treadmill (it's chilly, raining, and windy this morning). I'd forgotten just how much I hate the treadmill...

Anyone doing a 9/11 commerative run this weekend? There are a bunch around here. Thinking of doing the one put on by our local fire department; it's 4.03 mile, in honor of the 403 firefighters that died in NY.

I ran today! Woot! First time since June 3rd, when I finally had to give it up due to my PBP training. It was so awesome to lace up my shoes and just go. No worry about pacing or distance or anything. I just ran until I felt like turning around, then turned around and ran home.

    Happy girl!

I convinced my neighbor to do intervals with me last night, in the rain -- 4 x 800. We are training for half marathon in October and we're feeling strong! After, she came over with a glass of wine. We deserved it.

yay Susan! Glad you had a good first, no-pressure run.

I went for a trail run yesterday. It started out as the perfect, ideal fall run. I was loving it and feeling pretty good until about 2/3s of the way in. My old friend the ovarian cyst is back I tried running through the pain in order to get it to rupture, but I couldn't stand it. Hopefully it will go away soon. The weather is PERFECT for running right now.

Just got back from a short fun. Felt great! I've actually been riding more then running, but today, it felt like the biking has helped the running. Starting to feel like I am getting back on track again.

Susan, Glad you had a great run! Gotta love those 'no pressure' runs!

Limewave, those things arent any fun. Been there, more times then I care to remember. I hope it goes away soon for you.
