Oooh, elephants while running? Pretty cool! When I run near my parents house in FL, I run past a primate rescue and get to see a lot of big apes and things. Very fun!
I skipped two 3 mile runs last week in trade for hiking 15+ miles (over 2 days) wearing a 40 lb pack. I hope that's an even enough exchange from a training perspective. My body certainly couldn't have taken an additional impact.
My training plan had 6 miles on it for yesterday but I only got though 5.5 miles before I slipped (almost fell, but recovered) and broke our treadmill. Oops. I guess 5.5 will have to be good enough!![]()
