It is still a long way out but next weekend they are forecasting rain. 40-60% all the way through Tuesday after Labor Day. I would LOVE to be stuck in the gym next weekend!

That would be WONDERFUL, Amanda- crossing fingers for you!!!!

sigh... we did *something* to anger Mother Nature, that's for sure.

We have broken our 21 year record of 50 days above 100 degrees. We are currently at 57 with another 5 in the forecast.
We (Oklahoma) had the highest average July temperature of ANY state in the HISTORY of records at 90 degrees. TX was second at 89.something. Hotter than any AZ, NV, NM, UT July in recorded history. Sigh....

We are so below rainfall it's going to take years to get back to normal. We've been in this drought since last fall. The huge recreation lake by my house is 9 feet below it's normal level. Boats are in the mud and we have some serious beaches going on (take THAT California).

Crazy ol' weather. I'm ready for this summer to die a horrible death...

And yet places like the PNW are way below normal temps and shivering up there. I wish we could all just share the heat/rain etc. I'd be willing to share the warmth in exchange for some moisture falling.

We set an all time record high in Austin today, 112. It was miserable. I think we are at 73 days over 100, not sure it might be 74. Everyone is so cranky and irritable, my husband and I seem to alternate who is whining.

And then our friends in the NE are begging no more rain so they get a hurricane. It is insane, my husband and I were joking that it is the start of the end of the world the Mayans predicted. I don't believe that but at least it made us giggle.

It's been plenty warm and sunny here, thanks. Actually, I could do with a few less days in the low-80s.
