Taking a Break Until the Wedding

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Well, I'm taking a break from mountain biking until my wedding on September 4. I need to even out this tan, and frankly, I always fall while mountain biking, so I need to make sure that I don't get injured during these next few weeks. I miss it so much!! Ladies, can you please give me tips on what I can do to keep my mind away from mountain biking?

By the way, I don't think I ever posted a pic of my bike. Here is my baby -- XS Pivot Mach 5.7 -

Congrats on the upcoming wedding and on your Pivot! I eloped in a $40 dress from Target, so my tan (it was February) and bruises weren't a big concern. But if I were in your shoes, spring for a light spray tan if I was worried about tan lines. It takes me longer than a few weeks to loose my tan lines anyway. I'd also continue to ride and just stick to relatively easy trails. Or put some slicks on and ride on the road.

I'd suggest not putting on spray tan too close to the actual wedding moments- friends whose daughters used it before Irish dance competitions occasionally got stains on very expensive dance dresses.

Was this a do-it-yourself spray tan or a "professional" one? I've had friends who've used the latter for their weddings with decent luck. I think they got the tan a day or two in advance.

Not professional. Irish dancing is expensive enough as it is!
