    Sewing bike shorts

I really have a hard time shelling out $75+ for a little spandex and a pad. Many moons ago, we talked about sewing bike shorts. I think Irulan (?) may have done this & found a source for pads.

Does anybody do this? If so, where do you get your spandex & pads? The spandex in fabric stores is too flimsy.

This falls under the category of, "How hard can it be?"

Not sure about the fabric, but you can get chamois from Aerotech Designs.

I replace the chamois on a pair of shorts DH liked - but hated the pad - and it worked out fine.

Wow - thanks! Exactly what I'm looking for. Which pad did you use?
