I have to agree w/ Nanci. I guess I didn't add that I also use thermolytes on anything longer than 2-3 hours. They work great! There are a few different brands out there. I think they all work pretty well.

I occasionally get a dehydration problem due to no longer having a large intestine. My doctor here recommended a product called pedeolyte. The pharmacy where I bought it showed me another product, similar, called Organic Recharge (by the Knudsen juice company) -- electrolyte mix with organic lemonade. Actually tastes pretty good too. Much better than Gatorade.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
