One more question for ya - did you ride both the WSD and the normal x-caliber? I can't see much of a difference from the specs (besides saddle & paint job) but our store is out of the WSD.

I rode only the WSD X-Caliber. I stood over the men's but that's not much of a test. Did feel similar. The 15.5 WSD felt very short in top tube length. Rode it around the parking lot while they were assembling the 17.5. In fact I felt all cramped up, and in ready position as if I was going over the front.

My store didn't have any of the men's demo fleet to sell, so wasn't looking too hard at the non-WSD. However, the men's X-Cal was marked down 10%. Assume a model year change sale.

I did ride a men's 17.5 Trek GF Paragon on the store's weekly demo ride, did about 6-8 miles of street going to the trails and about 6 miles on trail. Liked it too, but prefer the feel of the WSD X-Cal. Little thing, like the brake levers just felt better in my hand. plus that was really getting out of my price range.
