    I have to say I really like the fact that my usual trail is mostly shaded. I have only 6-7 or so miles that is wide open and for half of that the sun is at my back (and low - early).

    I'd be a lot more miserable if it weren't for my DeSoto sleeves, too. As much as the grippers are completely useless and leave the tops of my arms bare, they still do a good job on the rest of my arms. I'd hate to have to put sunblock on my arms.

    I'm not sold on the bolero - mostly because I don't wear sleeveless jerseys, I'm too old to run or ride in nothing but a sport top (plus what's the point if your back is bare), and I'm not sure how it would work over sleeves - but I might have to try that.

    Aloe Gator, the lotion not the gel. It lasts for a long time and doesn't hurt if you sweat it into your eyes.

    REI carries it.
