Might I suggest you consider my new Louis Garneau Neo Powers in medium. I just bought them from TE 2 weeks ago and discovered they were too small after I had already removed the tags. (I usually wear medium, but had to get these in large instead. I should have heeded TE's advice and sized up in the first place.) They run a size small so this medium would suit someone who normally wears a small or smaller end of medium. They're amazing shorts and would be a good investment if you're losing weight and will eventually end up a size small. They could probably see you through your weight loss and there after. They're the best-rated and most often- rated shorts on TE, and the're also a staff pick. Check them out. http://www.teamestrogen.com/prodLG_1050369.html
I'll pay for shipping. I paid $120 for the shorts from TE. I'll take $100 for them.
goldfinch, definately post your old larges when you have time. I am in the market for some right now!

Goldfinch, I just went through my shorts yesterday packing for a bike trip and I have a couple pair of mediums that will work for you. One is SheBeest and the other is LGarneau. I will get with you when I return next week. Will that be okay?
