    Biggest pet peeve

So the "significant other" thread got me thinking that I really enjoy these share about yourself threads, so I'll ask another question...what is your biggest pet peeve? What one (or few) thing that other people do that drives you up the wall and makes you want to scream?

Oops. I asked the question but didn't post mine.
It's people who lie. I don't care if it's my students lying to get out of doing something, a politician lying to get elected, or grown adults who claim not to have been on Facebook when you can see that they've posted other things during the period of time they claimed to be gone. A lie is a lie and when I catch you, it chips away at my trust in you. Not to mention that most people are very bad at it and it's very easy to tell they're spinning tales!

    Honestly, and don't judge me...

bad grammar. I hate it. HATE it. More so in a professional environment. I can't stand it. I grammatically correct everything I read. Most of the time, it's laziness. Don't be lazy.

Me too. I had a patient (a male that was in his late 80s) tell me once that his Dad told him "you always have to remember a lie but never the truth".

I thought that was a very wise statement.

    I have a few:

open mouth chewers - this makes me almost go postal, it's SO GROSS!!

when people wear flip flops and drag their feet on the ground - pick up your heels!!

when people don't use their turning signals - it's as if they're the only ones on the road or they expect you to read their minds. And similar to this one, I hate it when police patrol cars don't bother signalling - how can they enforce regulations if they themselves won't??

dog owners who don't pick up after their dogs - gives responsible dog owners a bad rep.

Clothing companies, who despite the millions of us around, haven't seemed to grasp the fact that women can have an inseam of less than 30in. At 5' 2” I find buying trousers/jeans that are the right length hard work. Baggy cycling shorts, which I prefer, can end up looking like 3/4s on me. Oh, to be tall...

+++++1 on the open mouth chewers/noisy chewers - drives me up a wall. I've taken to wearing my headphones and listening to white noise in the cafeteria because so many people seem to do it.

Movie yakkers are totally irritating too - which is why when we go, its usually on a Wednesday, after the movie has been out for a few weeks. Having the movie theater all to yourself is bliss....

    All of the above.

And today: dirty windows in my apartment. Just cleaned them and *love* to see the sunshine and trees through clear windows.

PS: Add to the list: people who wear Ugg boots and drag their feet. Visually (so ugg-ly) and audibly offensive.
