I was over there in 2004 and watched them fly by us. The little town we stayed in that year, they actually rode right through this year. The house we rented was about 3 houses away from the little town circle that they rode right through. Darn it was hard knowing that and not having rented it this year too.

I went over last year and saw them in Rotterdam and Brussels. In Rotterdam they rode right down the small road our hotel was on as they were leaving the city to head to Brussels. I was so nervous that the slightest move and I'd take out a portion of the peloton, since they were that close. Here Mark Renshaw and Bernhard Eisel are looking right at me. At least it felt that way.

I had an amazing time last year and I intend to do that again. A friend and I keep joking about literally following them around for a couple weeks. Maybe one day.

Oh and last year I had 2 friends go with me who knew nothing about cycling. They ended up LOVING it and were huge fans. We also went to Paris for about 5 days after, so there was still plenty of non-cycling fun to be had. But for the Prologue, we found a great spot at around noon, sat down on the curb, and then I let them know that the last couple of guys would probably ride by us at about 7PM. Good thing they were having fun!

Heck, yeah! I just hope that both the Colorado race and the Vuelta are repeated during hours I can watch. Last year, the Vuelta was so much fun to watch.

Yes! And I will be there too!

As I said a way up-thread my kids couldn't understand how come the "Tour de France" came round again so quickly when it was actually the Vuelta I was glued to.
