Perfect timing weather-wise, not so good TrekHawk-wise.
I love this trail and I think we could talk PrincessZippy (aka Veronica) into a field trip up there with some notice. We'll have to plan a date when the weather is more consistent.
There was snow in only a couple places, one of which I skiied through sideways for a couple feet. Whoohooooooo!!
Glad to hear you had a good ride, I was thinking of you when it started getting a little windy.
I would love to ride with you and V so let me know when you both can get up this way again.
Have a good week and stay dry.

Maybe the weekend of March 18th, if the weather is good. My next free weekend is April 22.

My legs will be strong for the Maze Tour, but I don't know about my off road skills. We haven't ridden off road since we did Bryce to Zion in early August.

Sniff. My birthday ride must not have been very special if you can't remember it.

I'll pencil in March 18th. It looks like one of the three of us is booked until May otherwise. TH, aren't you signed up for Bike Around the Buttes on 4/22?

We're probably going to see what the commute back down the hill is like by going Highway 20 into Yuba City. The traffic ground to a halt 20 miles above Rocklin with only one small break before it jammed up again all the way onto the Yolo Causeway. Riding on a Saturday may help us avoid the Sunday afternoon Tahoe commuters.

TH, where do you start? We park at the Harmony Market and ride up as far as the group wants. We rode all the way to Omega a couple of summer ago. I really like this trail for its variety.

    Hey SadieKate
Answer number one - yes I am signed up for bike around the buttes so I had better get my A into G and get some more miles in or I might not make it.

Answer number two - Yep I start at the Harmony market too but have never gotten as far as you guys.

I will pencil in the date and hope we have some good weather.
    Looking forward to it girls.

Let's target Saturday because the traffic coming down from Tahoe on Sunday afternoons is horrible.

However, given the weather right now it may take a month or two to dry out.
