Well, let's just say that some people have "delicate sensibilities". The Doggie Style socks (the only ones we currently have in a "brown paper wrapper") were not up on the site for 2 days before we had a complaint! So, we figured the wrapper and the "disclaimer" were a good idea - this is a family site, after all. In case anyone is wondering what we're talking about, go here: http://www.teamestrogen.com/categories.asp?catID=92 and check the third row, center.

Funny story told to me by one of the gals over at Terry. Sock Guy makes a sock that they call the Uptown B*tch sock. It's burgundy with B*tch written in a pink, swirly script. A few years ago, Terry put them in it's printed catalog. My understanding is that they received numerous very vocal complaints about that sock, and subsequently removed it from the next catalog. The funny part - if memory serves me correctly - is that it was a very well-selling sock! Just goes to show that one women's trash is another's treasure, eh?

That's too funny, given the fact that you can hear and see worse on network TV during "prime time!"
I'd LOVE to have a pair of those "b*&ch" socks. Better yet: "b*$ch on wheels" --- haha. I must admit it describes me to a "t" on occasion!

    April...

Hi Sisters, I am looking for suggestions for April. What do you think that our secret sister would like to receive for the month? Perhaps something for the hair, water bottle, or what about a panty exchange? Just throwing things out there, what do you think? Thanks, B

Not panties!!! Cute idea, but I am _so_ picky- I only like Patagonia. Waterbottle is a good idea- you can always use more than one! ;-) Cycling snacks would be a good one. Could "hair" be stretched to include anything that goes on the head?

Ooh, you're right- my SS from Canada said she couldn't send choc here. :-(

But the socks she sent went on their first ride yesterday, _plus_ protected the bikes from hitting each other on the rack on the way there and back.

I think I read somewhere (dang, I really can't remember where, or I'd go looking ) that motorcycle riders have a small bell on their bikes to ward off all things evil, like the p*n*ct*r* fairy, or mechanical difficulties, or even dark SUVs driven by inattentive drivers.

The thing is, they don't work if you buy them for yourself. Someone has to give you yours.

Maybe we could exchange a bell, or a bike angel, or something protective like that?

    secret sister pkg already sent

Wasnt sure what we were sending to our ss for the month of April, and I was sending overseas, so I sent my pkg out early d/t April is going to be a busy month for me. I took a couple ideas and sent out socks (which I thought was going to be a monthly thing so I stocked up) that were more state specific and some small items that I thought could be of use while out riding. I hope no one minds, esp. mt. puddles, as there really wasn't anything set in stone as what to send out yet for the month of April. So my ss that lives in Australia should be getting a small pkg. in about 2 weeks..enjoy..shellyj

    Combining March & April

Since I didn't get involved from the start, I will be adding a pair of socks in my package for April. I only got her name & address in the last week or so and haven't had time to get out shopping. Hopefully, my secret sister is being patient with me. Especially, since she's in Europe!

I still haven't received any info on getting a ss. Mountainpuddles - if you didn't get me into the list in March, please add me now. Thanks

    one more thing

Bracelets are ok but i don't wear them so a person would just be wasting their hard earned $.

As i was walking to work this morning I thought why not send our secret sister an item from our city/town etc that they can't get in theirs. Even if it's not to do with cycling this time, tis ok.

    Thoughts?

    ps-i like the angel idea.

I still think the socks could stick around a couple more times too. I can always use more socks.
