I won't care until they start making commuter clothes for women, too. Boo for them only making these for dudes.

    +1. I can't wear men's clothing - they just don't fit me.

    It's a start, yes.

I just felt really let down. Saw an article about these not too long ago, got all excited, went to the Levis site and was like, oh. I see how it is. Not to be all debbie downer, but for some reason the lack of a women's line got to me on this one.

Perhaps I'm just feeling extra boxed in by the boys' club in general lately.* Why take it out on Levis? They're just a company trying to make a buck. There was probably a good deal of market research that went into the decision to launch with only men's commuter clothes. And anything encouraging more cyclists, especially bike commuters, is a good thing.

Still, I can't help but be grouchy. At least a little.

Apparently Levis doesn't think women ride bikes.

Jean jackets, a blast from the past. I really wanted one back in H.S. Then when I got one, it wasn't that warm. What a jean jacket has to do with bike commuting is beyond me.

I had one in jr. high. It got stolen from my locker by a rich girl right before she moved away (several people ratted her out, but she was already in another state, so there was nothing I could do). I saved babysitting money for that for a long time. I am still pretty PO'd about that. Rich folks taking from the rest of us...can I blame her for my strongly democratic tendencies...?
