    I'm recovering from flapjack eating.

    Breakfast
    cornflakes with skim milk, blueberries and strawberries

    Then cycled over to yet another free Stampede flapjack breakfast:
    2 flapjacks (pancakes)
    sausage patties
    coffee

    Then 2 hrs. later, cycled elsewhere to another one 5 kms. away:
    2 larger flapjacks
    2 larger sausage patties
    brown beans
    orange juice

    Snack
    fresh cherries, lichees and a plum
    Tea with milk

    Dinner:
    some low fat cottage cheese, fruit
    Sauteed gai lan (Chinese veggie)
    tea with milk

    Yea, all wierd. But I tried to taper off by the end of the day...

    I did only 20 kms. of cycling..after the pancakes.

    Saturday:
    2 eggs scrambled, 2 pieces turkey bacon, one slice whole wheat raisin toast, coffee
    went to my first peer consultation group. meeting was OK, but I ate too much. lentil salad, some spicy whole wheat cheese crisp/vegetable thing, 3-4 pieces, white bean hummus and pita, a small brownie
    went on a hot 20 mile ride, drank a bottle of water and Nuun, another bottle of plain water when I got back

    decided to go sit on the porch of the Colonial Inn and have appetizer and a mojito. turned into 2 mojitos, an appetizer of 1.5 black bean corn cakes, dinner of swordfish on top of another black bean corn cake and veggies. We had to walk around town for awhile to drive the 3.5 miles home

    Today:
    2 home made waffles, 3 slices of turkey bacon, blueberries and walnuts

    rode 14 hot miles, went to the beach, ate a turkey wrap with lettuce and tomato, mustard (it was way too big) and a bag of baked chips, a lemon water ice. Rode 8 miles back to the car. drank 2 bottles of water with Nuun.

    whole wheat orzo salad with chick peas and feta, lemon olive oil dressing

    an orange, 2 slices of cheese

    Yesterday:
    B: 2 sourdough pancakes, peaches, syrup, 2 pieces bacon, coffee, oj
    S: tortilla chips and salsa, 1 beer
    D: zucchini squash, bolognesa tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, spaghetti, 1 piece garlic wg bread with olive oil, parmesan and garlic, 1 glass of red wine

    Yesterday:

    B: 2 scrambled egg whites with one whole egg sammy on Ezekial bread (2 slices), berries, coffee, skim milk

    about 2 hours of mountain bike drills and just playing on the bike

    after-bike snack - low-fat choc. milk and baked chips

    L: wonderful mixed salad green salad with onion, tomatoes, roasted chicken, red peppers, zucchini and oil/vinegar dressing

    D: Roasted skinless chicken with roasted swiss chard, 1 beer. More berries

    S: small handful trail mix - need to go shopping!

    I LOVE apples - but sadly the apples are just too bad this time of the year - mealy, flavorless and bruised... I am loving all of the berries though, and looking forward to the new apple harvest!

    S: nuts and cranberries and a Luna Bar at 4:30.

    Cereal with 1%
    Pasta with tomato sauce, salad with Caesar dressing
    Tea with half-and-half and sugar, slice of pound cake
    Frappucino (small one, with whipped cream)
    Fried rice (with egg, chicken), half a daikon radish, salad
    cherries
    homemade mint ice cream

    Today:
    Cereal with 1%
    Leftover fried rice
    2 thin slices of pound cake, strawberries with Nutella, tea with half-and-half and sugar
    25 minutes on the trainer. It's too hot to ride, and it's too hot to sleep so getting up early is out of the question.
    Chicken tacos (chicken, onions, red bell pepper, salsa, green onions), handful of tortilla chips with salsa, salad
    I'm contemplating a dab of mint chocolate chip ice cream...
    At least I don't leave slime trails.
